Formation of Balloon with Porous Structures in NaCl Vapor Assisted by Amphiphilic Polymer for Stent Delivery System

Abstract Recently, bioabsorbable vascular stents (BVSs) are actively studied owing to their ability dissolve within the human body. However, despite advantages, BVSs often dislodge from expandable balloon‐based delivery system when transported lesion site. In this study, a novel methodology aiming at increasing retention force between stent and is presented. The breath‐figure method adopted form porous structure enhance adhesion. Additionally, numerical experimental methods used evaluate effect of surface tension two immiscible fluids (polymeric solutions droplets). To control interfacial solution droplets, an amphiphilic polymer NaCl‐added vapor used. By selecting appropriate parameters, sponge‐like prepared on system. verify its applicability, types structures presented in study experimentally compared. These findings provide valuable guidelines for understanding mechanism patterns. Thus, innovative developed demonstrates simplicity scalability large‐area production, making it potentially applicable industrial technologies offering new insights into biomedical engineering.
